Choosing roses for your landscape |
Most of our home landscapes today are mixed of colorful species of plants and flowers that contribute to the beauty of our home. Roses can compliments to this mixture and can beautify an overall landscape of plants and flowers.
Roses among other flowers are popularly choices of gardeners. It is widely used as a form of ornamental for the beautification of home landscape. Choosing the right varieties of ornamental roses will add more beauty to your home.
There are some varieties of roses you may consider in choosing which can be used for exterior home landscape:
1. Tea Roses - exhibits a nodding blooms, it grows over an archway with it characteristic to climb or accent to a wall. It is usually seen in an arch structure form with their full bloom attractive to the viewer. This variety can be trained to different way such as ascending from top of a lengthy structure or going up to a vertical wall. 2. Polyantha or Modern Day Floribunda Rose - It is a good choice for vibrant splash of color for home landscape background. Its known for large sprays of bloom. 3. Modern Shrub roses and Rugosa Roses - Popularly known in China, they grow in small or miniature sizes usually planted in front of other plants in home landscape.
Color is the most important consideration in choosing ornamental roses for home landscaping; we may also consider sizes, shapes and textures. We must also consider that the color of the roses must be in harmony or compliments with the surrounding of landscape, without considering it will look disaster. Like, putting plain white roses to a dark-grey background home and putting pink roses in a marble background home. It ups to you to choose any scheme that would create beauty to your home and surrounding.
In addition, you must consider also climates for a variety of roses. Selecting the best roses varieties for your specific climate will cut off expenses for pesticides and enhance fresh looking garden.
